So, what is CFW?...

CFW is short for CustomFigureWars, an online community designed for the adult action figure customizer, collector, and all around toy fan.  We offer a variety of features for every type of customizer, from beginners to veterans.  Some of the features CFW offers are:

1. A "Live" chat box, viewable on every page, so you can discuss projects with other customizers in real time while you search the site. (Must be registered to the main site to view)

2. The Black Market (our version of the classifieds), for those who want to advertise items of their choosing such as, but not limited to, customs, ebay auctions & loose fodder etc...

3. The Custom Showcase, designed to give your customs maximum exposure (upload a custom and it is immediately front paged)

4. The Fan Art Showcase for those who also like to paint, sculpt, and sketch (the roots of customizing)

5. A showcase just for Tutorials & Recipes so we can help each other, and most importantly those who are new to the hobby.

6. The CFW Forum for the community to discuss all things action figure & more!  ** The forum requires a second registration with e-mail verification for security purposes**

And yes, everything mentioned above is free, all you have to do is sign up.  Here at CustomFigureWars we want to spread the hobby of customizing by bringing all custom sites & what they have to offer here for easy reference.  With your help we can generate more participation in contests & the hobby all together.

Transmission 11[G&].1

Last transmission shot me to stardom. Well, maybe that statement is a bit premature. My blog, my rules no matter how dilusional or drug-induced.

SDCC is right around the corner. So much stuff is about to be unleashed on us. I'm sure there's more than a few of us that're counting the days and hoping we get those specific exclusives we're chasing. I'm slowly getting myself prepared for the letdown, it helps in the event I don't get something in particular. Luckily for me I'm 3 years rolling with getting the stuff i really wanted. And that includes the wonderfully pine-fresh Moss Man inspired deoderant. No, I haven't used it but i do like smelling it every now and then. Plus whenever my Mossy figure's scent begins to die down (which it hasn't yet BTW) I'll always have the sweet pine scent from the little SDCC treat I was lucky to get through a friend. Anywa, there's a shitload of SDCC stuff to anxiously bite your fingers down to the bone for but the select few I'm interested in are:

MOTUC Queen Marleena, DCUC Swamp Thing (with or without the Un-Men, makes little difference to me), ThunderCats Classic Lion-O and the DCUC vs MOTUC Bizarro & Battle Armor Faker. All the others are cool in their own right but these are the chosen few that tug at my fig-collecting soul. If I make it out with one I'm good. Can't really decide which is tops but considering I'm big on MOTUC and its the one line I've almost consistently collected throughout all the price gouging and drop off in fig lines I think it'll be a close one between King Randor's baby mama and the cloned robot of King Randor's seed. We'll see how the madness goes.

On MOTUC related news I preordered a shirt today through my LCS (local comic shop) and it showcases none other than Big Daddy Skullface himself, Skeletor. I tried attaching the pic I took of it from the Previews catalog so hopefully u'll be able to see it for yourself. If not here's a quick description. The tee is black and has Skelly's face dead center in the chest. Its "Filmation" Skelly with his head tilted a bit back as he laughs only the way he can. If you remember the opening intro to the ole' Masters of the Universe cartoon then visualize the very end of the intro when there's an image of Castle Grayskull and quick face shots of the villains are show transparently over Grayskull as their names are called. When Skeletor is shown he begins to laugh and that shot is what's captured on the center of the shirt. Behind his head are two intersecting power swords in s "skull and crossbones" type motif. All in all is suits me perfectly and I can't wait to get it. Hopefully other spots like Wal-Mart, Target, Hot Topic, etc. get some different MOTU inspired shirts. Considering the 30th Anniversary is next year I expect to see a few shirts out there and maybe some other cool stuff.
